Venilla is also a published poet. Both her poetry volumes explore themes related to finding personal peace, and societal peace while rising above conflicts in the inner and outer worlds. Her educational background includes international law. Her research is on the South China Sea region of the Indo-Pacific; and extends to legal issues in Outer Space. As a domestic violence survivor, she is passionate about women’s rights, peace at home just as much as peace in the street, in our country, and worldwide.
